We only stayed here for 1 night, but everything was amazing. The location was great and fantastic - close to the beach and a 20-minute walk to the center. What's more, it was 5 mins drive from Playa Santa Teresa.

Affable stuff and absolutely perfect location make it a great choice! Area is really cool and close enough to the peninsula, activities and restaurants and the beach nearby.

Great location in the peninsula was a plus. The rooms were perfect, stylish, and had climate control, a private safe and a mini-fridge-bar. The staff was incredibly hospitable, they were always available...

This place had a neat and beautiful room with a private bathroom that included a shower, hairdryer, and towels, and it's in a fantastic location close to the sea.

I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh Costa Rican coffee, a smoothie, and beans, and the room was nicely decorated, spacious.

The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean, making for a pleasant stay. The location was fantastic, with Tambor airport just 25 km away and easily accessible.

We loved staying at this hotel because it was conveniently located close to the beautiful beach, just a short walk away. We also appreciated that it was not too near or far from the bustling town center, making it easy to explore with a car. Plus, the hotel was situated close to Playa Hermosa, which offered fantastic surf opportunities. the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with comfortable amenities like AC and a refrigerator. the friendly staff provided great service and delicious breakfast options. the hotel provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

The surrounding area had some ongoing construction noise which was a bit disruptive.

The food, staff, and drinks were amazing. The butter chicken and seafood were to die for. Curry night on Saturdays with homemade choupati and naan bread. Clean rooms with great AC and comfy beds. Short walk to the beautiful Santa Teresa beach. Friendly and communicative couple who runs the place. Location is quiet and close to main activities. Well-designed bungalows with beautiful landscaping.

Not one thing.

We were blown away by the delicious food at Makanas Beach Bungalows. The chef's butter chicken recipe was out of this world, and we couldn't get enough of the fresh fruit and coffee served for breakfast every day. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The location, just a minute's walk from the beautiful Santa Teresa beach, made our stay even more magical. we highly recommend this hidden gem.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel in Santa Teresa. the location was excellent - close to the beautiful Playa Hermosa beach and some great restaurants. It was just far enough from the downtown area to avoid the noise. Secondly, the hotel itself was wonderful. With only three bungalows, it felt like staying at a private house. The rooms were comfortable and well-designed. Lastly, the outdoor area was really cool and a great place to hang out for breakfast and enjoy a few cocktails in the evening. this hotel provided a fantastic visit to Santa Teresa.

We had a wonderful time at Makanas Beach Bungalows Bed & Breakfast. The new Italian management is doing a great job revitalizing the place. The changes they plan to make to the rooms will surely improve their look. Plus, they are working on reopening the restaurant area, which is exciting.

Our stay at Makanas was incredible! Lovely hosts made us feel at home. Delicious food, especially the fusili with pesto sauce. Beautiful beach, quiet and special. Amazing location close to activities.
